The app is a convenient way for you to track your children’s reading progress throughout the program. Synced with Google books, it is now easier than ever to search and add books to your child’s collection. Started the program on paper? Never fear! Stop by your library and one of the friendly librarians will be happy to help catch the app up.

9 Kids Finish 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten!

So far in 2015, 9 super kids have finished their goal of reading 1,000 books before kindergarten! We think that one of the best ways to encourage learning is to spend time with your kids each day sharing stories. If you have a child who has not yet entered 5K, consider signing them up for our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Club. Reading with your child will build a solid foundation of pre-reading skills that will ensure your child enters 5K ready to succeed in school!

Culver's Coloring Program

April 12-18 is National Library Week, but Culver's has decided to celebrate libraries all month long! The home of the Butter Burger is once again sponsoring a coloring program all month long. Children ages 4-11 are invited to draw a picture celebrating their favorite book by drawing and coloring a character, event, scene, or anything else about the book and returning the drawing to the library.

Play & Learn Spots

Kids and their caregivers are having more fun these days in the Children's Area! Have you brought your young children or grandchildren to check out the library's Play & Learn Spots yet? Each quarter we will change the early literacy activities available for caregivers to play with their child(ren). Most Play & Learn Spots will be marked with our logo and will include a short description of the activity plus a list of the early literacy skills children will be practicing while playing.
