Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a beautiful tradition honoring loved ones who have passed away. Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate and go on a magical journey into Latin American culture through cuentos, or folk tales, that have been handed down for generations in Mexico and other countries! Marisol, a bilingual cuentista (storyteller), will share stories that she grew up hearing from her abuelitos (grandparents).

The Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.
During this time, the book drop in the parking lot will remain open. Regular hours will resume on Friday, July 5.

Books & Beyond Storytime, and Music & Movement are back!
Both programs resume the week of June 3.
Books & Beyond Storytime is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10am. Stories, songs, and craft activities for preschool-aged children and their caregivers. No registration required.
Music & Movement is held on Wednesdays at 9:30am. Get your wiggles out with songs, instruments, movement and yoga! Fun activities for babies, toddlers, and preschool children and caregivers. No registration required.
Storytime will return the week of September 11, and it is held on Mondays and Wednesday at 10am.
No registration is required to attend. The fall/winter season goes through mid-December.
Due to icy roads and sidewalks, the library will open at 12pm on Feb. 23.

When the Sauk Prairie Schools are cancelled, our children's programs are as well.
Family Night will be rescheduled (stay tuned for more info) and Storytime and Music & Movement will return next week!
The Very Hungary Caterpillar Cafe, our new dramatic play and literacy center, will open to the public tomorrow.
Calling all Wings of Fire fans! Celebrate your favorite dragon series with crafts, games, and activities. The part will be on Monday, February 20 at 1pm. You do not have to be familiar with the book series to attend - anyone who loves dragons is welcome!
