The Sauk City Library is moving things around to make more space for children and to bring in some new furniture!
The library will be open for limited hours and partial services:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
Friday: 9:00am to 5:30pm
The side entrance will be open for patrons to pick up holds and return items.
If you can’t come during those hours and need to send your holds to another library, call or talk to a librarian at the desk. Our computers, printer, and copier will be unavailable and patrons will not be able to browse the shelves.
Thank you for your understand and we look forward to serving your at our normal hours the following week.
Employment Opportunity: Library Assistant-Evenings and Saturdays
Immediate opening at the Sauk City Library for a Library Assistant who loves working with the public. We are a forward-thinking library with an increasing focus on technology, but still looking to provide top-notch traditional library service. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy helping people, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Checking materials in and out, processing materials, and shelving library materials, assisting library patrons on the computer and other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications: Successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a love of reading, knowledge of computers and the internet, and the ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs. Completion of High School or GED required. Previous library or customer service experience preferred.
Salary and benefits: This is a part-time (approximately 12 hours per week) position. Starting salary is $10/hour. This position does not qualify for benefits.
