Summer Library Program
We are busy constructing all kinds of fun programming for youth at the library this summer! Our theme is “Build a Better World!”
Our foundation is the BINGO reading challenge which begins June 6 for all ages. Sign up at the library or online. Pick up BINGO cards at the library. Complete reading and non-reading activities to earn bingos. Bring cards back to the library to create a custom chain and enter the monthly grand prize drawings. (Please note this is the same program being conducted at the Ruth Culver Community Library, so participants may sign up and turn in BINGO cards at either library and may go back and forth for prizes.)
We expand on the books children are reading, by offering free, entertaining programs. Wednesdays at 1:00 PM, join us for a variety of professional performers and speakers. Fridays from 1:00 to 3:00PM we are offering drop-in programs in the areas of building, art, science, and film. For dates and more information about these events, please see our online calendar or the flyer your child brought home from school.
Finally, all patrons have an opportunity to “Build a Better World” by donating canned food for the Sauk Prairie Area Food Pantry. The library will be collecting unexpired cans all summer long and donating them at a celebration event, Monday, August 14. The “We CAN Festival” will take place at the new food pantry building 821 Industry Rd. at 6:00PM. Look forward to games, snacks, crafts, building, and more! Thank you to Piggly Wiggly of Sauk City for generously agreeing to match the canned donations!
